This course introduces Materials selection process, where students will learn the processes involved in selecting materials or selecting process for any application. Students will be also be introduced to the Design analysis process using SolidWorks software. Proper materials and process selection, along with suitable design is significant in engineering and the relationship between materials - processing - properties - design will be explored. At the end of the semester, students would carry out mini project to apply the knowledge gained throughout this course and other previous courses, to find suitable solution to any given problem or component.
