Objective: This course will provide the students with fundamental concepts and principles of particle and planar rigid-body dynamics. In addition, students will be introduced to the application of mechanisms in the mechanical engineering environment.

Course Outcomes:

1. Able to describe and relate the motion, work, energy impulse, momentum of a particle, and rigid body in terms of kinematics and mechanisms.

2. Able to evaluate basic of motion, work, energy impulse, momentum of a particle, and rigid body in terms of kinematics and mechanisms.

3. Able to analyze and solve problems related to kinematics and mechanisms.

PO

1. PO1 - Ability to apply knowledge of mathematics, science, engineering fundamentals and an engineering specialization to the solution of complex engineering problems.

2. PO2 - Ability to identify, formulate, research literature and analyses complex engineering problems using first principles of mathematics, natural sciences, and engineering sciences.

3. PO3 - Ability to design solutions for complex engineering problems and design systems, components or processes that meet specified needs with appropriate consideration for public health and safety, cultural, societal, and environmental considerations.
