The aim of this course is to discuss the roles and functions of international organizations in international politics. It examines the features, backgrounds and objectives of international organizations. To illustrate their dynamic roles and functions in international scenes, two main organizations, the League of Nations and the United Nations, are discussed. Other major international organizations are also analyzed constructively to boost students understanding of the effectiveness of international organizations as players in international politics. This is viewed from both the theoretical and practical aspects.
